Walsh & Walsh Law Offices was established in 1977 by David W. Walsh and Richard J. Ferriter, both former attorneys for the New Haven Railroad, New York Central Railroad, Penn Central Railroad and Conrail. The firm represented railroads, employees of railroads in personal injury cases and provided railroad law conselling on a referral basis. During this time, the firm was known as Ferriter & Walsh and expanded its services to include general personal injury, automobile and general liability cases and established legal expertise in the areas of probate, estates, wills and trusts, family law and divorce. David W. Walsh, Jr. joined the firm in 1991 and was a bar advocate for the Middlesex Defense Attorneys. He also provided legal services in civil litigation, estates and divorce. Richard Ferriter passed away in 2004, and David W. Walsh, Jr. passed away in 2006.
On September 1, 2007, Janet M. Walsh, former Assistant U.S. Attorney in Phoenix, Arizona, member of several law firms and former Assistant Director of the Arizona Board of Nursing, joined the firm. Janet is a graduate of Boston College School of Nursing, summa cum laude, and Arizona State University College of Law, cum laude. She is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, Arizona and California.
