Brickbottom 

 

This district's urban pioneers -- Brickbottom Artist Studios, Centrepoint Architects and Herb Chambers Motor Cars -- along with Mayor Joe Curtatone's new initiative "The Edge as Center" have launched  "Brickbottom" to the top of region's future.  

 

In addition to one largest art studio complexes and the leading luxury auto dealership in New England, Brickbottom offers a full service area for automotive maintenance and supplies.

 

Once served by commuter rail, the area is in the existing transit right of way of the proposed new Green Line extension.  The area is closer to downtown Boston than most of the City of Boston.  Along with Inner Belt Park, Brickbottom is right next to the billion-dollar, Boston, Cambridge, Somerville development at NorthPoint right off the McGrath O'Brien Highway Rt.16.  © 2006-2008
