From McGrath O'Brien Highway Rt 16 to Davis Square, Highland Avenue runs through the middle of the city.  Along the way, this area offers the core of Somerville's civic life along with some convenient retail and office spaces.   This tree-lined way is the scene of a most impressive and fitting annual Memorial Day parade that marches from the Central Library, High School and City Hall concourse, past YMCA, across the Central Street turn to the Somerville Museum, and by the entrance to the Somerville Hospital.   The area is home to State Representative Denise Provost.   © 2006-2008
