Assembly Square
Assembly Square is the region’s rising 145-acre destination for recreation, commerce and a 21st Century urban village.
At the confluence of history’s three great urban avenues -- river, road and rail -- Assembly Square is on the banks of the Mystic, at the off ramps of I-93, and at the gateway of a future high volume rapid transit station.
Closer to downtown Boston than most of the City of Boston, Assembly Square offers: the latest in major superstore retailers; a high profile office complex; a career education center; an economy hotel; a taxi headquarters; nightlife and fitness venues; as well as some key regional construction suppliers. Plans are underway for an Ikea and the urban village with new waterfront and bicycle access next to an Assembly Sq Orange Line transit station. © 2006-2008
